Retraction and Correction Policy

Pluralia: Journal of Religion and Society is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions may be issued when necessary to address errors, ethical problems, or serious misconduct in published articles.

Correction

A correction may be issued when an article contains errors that do not invalidate the overall findings or conclusions. Corrections may include errors in author information, data presentation, references, acknowledgements, or minor factual inaccuracies.

Expression of Concern

An expression of concern may be issued when there is serious doubt about the integrity of a published article but the investigation is still ongoing or inconclusive.

Retraction

An article may be retracted if there is clear evidence of unreliable findings, plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, unethical research, or other serious breaches of publication ethics.

Retraction Procedure

1. The editorial team investigates the case based on available evidence.
2. The author is given an opportunity to respond to the concern.
3. The editor consults the editorial board or external experts when necessary.
4. A final decision is made by the editor-in-chief.
5. If retraction is required, a retraction notice will be published and linked to the original article.

Retracted articles will remain accessible to preserve the scholarly record, but they will be clearly marked as retracted.
